Votes in 1021 ballot box in Iraq canceled
The Iraq Independent Supreme Election Commission announced the cancellation of votes in the 1021 election polls in the general elections on May 12.
The Iraq Independent Supreme Election Commission announced that the votes on the 1021 ballot were canceled due to "irregularities". There are also six ballots established outside of the country among the cancellations.
It is noted that the canceled votes cover across the country about 10 provinces and refugee camps, with the verdict being taken on the grounds of irregularities.
It was Duhok that the Democratic Party of Kurdistan (KDP) under the leadership of Masoud Barzani was the strongest in the province where the most cancellation decision was made. In Duhok 224 ballots were canceled and were followed by Mosul 195, Kirkuk 186 and Anbar 101 ballots.
It was also stated that the, 71 ballots in Erbil, 96 in Sulaimaniya, 2 in Diyala, 179 in Saladin, 179 in Ninova, and 100 in Baghdad were canceled as a result of the decision.
It is the US comes first as the most votes canceled with 31 ballots as votes for outside of Iraq.
In other words, the cancellation decision in the polls was made as the results of the work of 2 thousand protests were recorded.
Following the general elections held in Iraq on May 12, six political parties in the Kurdistan region claimed that their votes were stolen by reacting to the non-final results of the elections.
