Ankara expects U.S. to ensure the withdrawal of YPG/PKK members from northern Syria, the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said on Monday.
Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said Ankara expects U.S. to facilitate the withdrawal of YPG/PKK members from northern Syria; notes Turkey may resume operation otherwise.
A total of 765 YPG/PKK members were neutralized as part of the operation in northern Syria, Erdogan recalled.
Turkey launched “Operation Peace Spring” on Oct. 9 to remove YPG/PKK members from northern Syria in order to establish a safe zone for Syrians return in the area east of the Euphrates River.
