We will discuss the global economy at G20 meetings: President Erdoğan
"With a wide agenda, we will discuss, during the G20 meetings, the challenges with which the global economy is faced," President Erdoğan said before heading to Argentina for G20 Leaders' Summit.
Holding a press conference at Istanbul Atatürk Airport before departing for Argentina to attend the G20 Leaders' Summit, President Erdoğan said: "With a wide agenda, we will discuss, during the G20 meetings, the challenges with which the global economy is faced."
"We will identify the steps to be taken to eliminate the main risks in the world’s economy by assessing the global economic outlook," he added.
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan went to the Argentinian capital city of Buenos Aires to attend the G20 Leaders' Summit.
Following the summit, President Erdoğan will pay official visits to Paraguay and Venezuela.
Holding a press conference at Istanbul Atatürk Airport before departing for Argentina, President Erdoğan made remarks on his visits and current issues and answered reporters' questions.
“We will strongly reiterate our emphasis on free trade”
Pointing out that during the G20 meetings, they will discuss the challenges with which the global economy is faced, President Erdoğan said that they will identify the steps to be taken to eliminate the main risks in the world's economy by assessing the global economic outlook.
Recalling that they, as Turkiye, have underlined the need for fighting protectionism and liberalizing trade since the beginning, President Erdoğan noted that during the summit, they will strongly reiterate their emphasis on free trade.
President Erdoğan added that along with these issues, they will also exchange their views on many different areas, including education, healthcare, agriculture, development, and energy.
First presidential visits to Paraguay and Venezuela
Stating that following the G20 Leaders' Summit, he will pay official visits to Paraguay and Venezuela, President Erdoğan noted that these visits will be the first presidential visits from Turkiye to these countries.
"We aim to move our good political relations with Paraguay to other areas and expand them by taking advantage of the opening of our embassy, and to elevate our cooperation in economy and trade too much higher levels," said President Erdoğan.
Referring to the Venezuela visit, which will be the last stop of his Latin America tour, President Erdoğan underlined that they will discuss the steps that need to be taken to advance the bilateral relations in as many areas as possible.
