Yasin Börü case where fugitive defendants are tried, postponed
The second trial, in which the fugitive defendants were tried, and separated from the file on which Yasin Börü and his friends' murder suspects were tried, was adjourned to November 7, 2018, due to the absence of the defendant's lawyer.
The trial of murder suspects, one detained and two others are fugitive, which separated from the main file of Yasin Börü, Hüseyin Dakak, Riyad Güneş, and Hasan Gökgöz, who were murdered barbarically by the hands of PKK/HDP on October 6-7 events, has been seen on Monday.
In the second hearing seen at Ankara 2nd High Criminal Court, Abdulgani Orhan and Hasan Boztaş, attorneys of complainants, and Serpil Şahin, attorney of the Ministry of Family Affairs, Labor and Social Services, were present during the trial.
Ali Erbıyık, the head of the court stated that the court hasn’t received the warrant requested from Information and Communication Technologies Authority related to arrested suspect Ersin Filizer, and the fugitive defendants Burhan Ay and İsa Özel have not been caught yet.
The court delegation, which has postponed the trial to November 7, 2018, on the reasons of defendant's lawyer's absence without giving an excuse, the elimination of missing documents and the detention of the defendant.
"The file related to the murder of Yasin Börü and his friends was made at the 2nd Heavy Penal Court of Ankara and many of the defendants have been punished for this brutal massacre. The files are now in the Court of Cassation. The file separated from the main file due to the fugitive defendants. One of the fugitives was caught last year. The arrested defendant Ersin Filizer is currently on trial as a prisoner, while 2 suspects are being sought and investigated," said Abdulgani Orhani, one of the complainant lawyer.
