A 4.0 magnitude earthquake hits western Turkey
The 4.0 magnitude quake hit the Aegean Sea off the coast of Dikili district in Izmir province on Thursday, Turkey’s Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency announced on its website.
The earthquake occurred at around 11:45 TSI, with its epicenter at a latitude of 38.8560 degrees north and a longitude of 26.7833 degrees east, and at a depth of 6.97 km.
There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties.
