Agricultural input price index in Turkey rises by 28.74% annually
Agricultural input price index (Agricultural-IPI) increased by 28.74% annually and 0.93% monthly, the Turkish Statistical Institute said in a statement on Tuesday.
Agriculture-IPI (2015=100) increased by 0.93% compared to the previous month, increased by 15.50% compared to December of the previous year, increased by 28.74% compared to the same month of the previous year, and increased by 20.77% compared to twelve months moving averages, in August 2021.
Monthly changes by main groups, goods and services contributing to the agricultural investment index increased by 0.28% and goods and services currently consumed in the agricultural index increased by 1.03%. The goods and services contributing to the agricultural investment index increased by 25.29% and the goods and services currently consumed in the agricultural index increased by 29.32% compared to the same month of the previous year.
The highest annual increase was 66.71% in the fertilizer and soil improvers subgroup
The other subgroups that indicated high increase were farm buildings (non-residential) with 45.67% and maintenance of buildings with 44.57%. On the other hand, seeds and planting stock with 9.87%, plant protection and pesticides with 11.81% and veterinary expenses with 16.62% were the subgroups that low annual increase realized.
The highest monthly increase was 5.19% in the fertilizer and soil improvers subgroup
The other subgroups that indicated high increase were maintenance of buildings with 3.44% and farm buildings (non-residential) with 1.19%. On the other hand, seeds and planting stock with 0.03% and plant protection and pesticides with 0.20% were the subgroups which low monthly increase realized. Maintenance of materials with 0.29% was subgroup that the highest monthly decrease realized.
