An 87-year-old man dies from coronavirus in Şanlıurfa, southeastern Turkey

Ahmet Turkmen (87), who was in intensive care in hospital due to Covid-19, died in Şanlıurfa province of southern Turkey on Wednesday.

He was taken to Şanlıurfa Mehmet Akif İnan Education and Research Hospital after he had showed the symptoms of coronavirus pandemic for which he then tested positive.

He was moved to intensive care in hospital after his coronavirus symptoms worsened.

As of 7 April, Turkey’s Health Ministry reported 34,109 confirmed coronavirus case, with 725 deaths. The total number of tests performed was 222,868.
