Coronavirus death toll rises to 17,364 in Turkey
Turkey has reported 243 new deaths from coronavirus in the last 24 hours, bringing the country’s death toll from the virus to 17,364, the country’s Health Minister Fahrettin Koca said in a statement on Thursday.
According to the statement, 27,515 more people were tested positive for coronavirus in the last 24 hours, bringing the number of confirmed cases to 1,955,680.
While at least 5,803 patients are in critical condition, 1,721,607 patients suffering from the disease have so far recovered and been discharged from hospital.
21,901,694 tests for coronavirus have so far been conducted to detect infections in the country.
