Coronavirus: Iran reports 101 new deaths, 1,754 cases in the last 24 hours
Iran has reported 103 new deaths from coronavirus over the past 24 hours, bringing the number of deaths from the virus to 21,672, the Health Ministry Spokeswoman Sima Lari said in her daily press conference on Tuesday.
After 1,682 more people tested positive for coronavirus in the past 24 hours, the number of infections has surpassed 376,894 in the country.
There are at least 3,709 people in intensive care units, Lari said, adding that, of those tested positive for the virus, 325,000 patients have recovered and been discharged from hospital.
So far, more than 3,250,000 tests have been taken across the country to detect infected cases, said the Health Ministry spokeswoman.
According to Worldometer, which is a reference website that provides counters and real-time statistics for diverse topics, the global death toll from coronavirus has surpassed 855,378 with 25,664,096 cases and more than 17,963,678 recoveries.
