The coronavirus pandemic, which was first identified in Wuhan, China and declared a pandemic by World Health Organization on March 11, is continuing to claim lives of thousands of people around the world.

The United States has the highest number of confirmed coronavirus cases with 588,421 cases, followed by Spain with 170,079 cases, Italy with 159,516cases, France with 136,779 cases, Germany with 130,084 cases, the United Kingdom with 88,621 cases, China with 82,249 cases and Iran with 73,303 cases.

A total of 448,221 patients have so far recovered and have been discharged from hospital.
