Coronavirus worldwide: The number of deaths surpasses 180,000

More than 2,500,000 people have so far tested positive for the coronavirus around the world.

The coronavirus pandemic, which was first identified in Wuhan, China and declared a pandemic by World Health Organization on March 11, is continuing to claim the lives of thousands of people across the world.

The United States, the current epicenter of the pandemic, has the highest number of fatalities from coronavirus with 45,075 deaths, followed by Italy with 25,085 deaths, Spain with 21,717 deaths, France with 20,796 deaths, the United Kingdom with 18,100 deaths, Belgium with 6,262 deaths, Iran with 5,391 deaths, Germany with 5,127 deaths and China with 4,632 deaths.

A total of 709,761 patients have so far recovered and been discharged from hospital worldwide.
