Death toll from coronavirus outbreak rises to 92 in Iran
Speaking at the session of the cabinet on Wednesday, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani made statements on coronavirus outbreak in the country.
"This disease is a widespread one. It encompasses almost all of our provinces and is, in a sense, a global disease that many countries in the world have become infected with, and we must work together to tackle this problem as quickly as possible," Rouhani said.
According to Iran's Health Ministry, the death toll from the outbreak have risen to 92, up from 77.
It also reported 586 more new confirmed cases and 15 new deaths. 552 people have recovered and discharged from hospital so far.
The number of confirmed coronavirus cases exceeded 2,900 in the country.
