1,529 new cases were confirmed with coronavirus, taking the number of confirmed cases to 106,220 in the country, according to Kianoush Jahanpour.

2,696 patients are in critical condition and of those suffering from the disease, 85,064 have gained recovery.

So far, 573,220 tests have been taken across the country to detect infected cases.

According to the Johns Hopkins University, the global death toll from coronavirus has surpassed 276,682 with 4,033,286 cases and more than 1,290,364 recoveries.
