Erdoğan, Japanese Prime Minister Abe talk over phone
Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a phone conversation with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, the Directorate of Communications announced on Wednesday.
During the conversation, Erdoğan conveyed his wishes of good health to Abe, who announced his resignation from his position as Prime Minister after a while for health reasons, and wished him a speedy recovery.
Thanking Abe for his important contributions to Turkish-Japanese relations, Erdoğan expressed his belief for the further advancement of relations between the two countries in the future.
During the conversation, the resolution to deepen the cooperation between Turkey and Japan in all areas was reiterated and concrete steps to this end were discussed.
