Gaza lacks vital medical supplies and needs to face coronavirus
The Palestinian health ministry has warned of the seriousness of the health situation in the Gaza Strip after the central laboratory ran out of supplies to process coronavirus (COVID-19) tests, calling for providing Gaza with urgent help in this rega
During a news briefing on Saturday, spokesman for the health ministry Ashraf al-Qudra called on all concerned parties and donors to help Gaza face the coronavirus pandemic through providing it with its medical and lab needs as well as respirators and intensive care beds.
Spokesman al-Qudra said that the health ministry released last week 1,381 people from the quarantine centers in Gaza, including individuals from health crews and security apparatuses.
According to the spokesman, four cases infected with coronavirus are in reassuring health conditions at the isolation hospital while nine others are at the quarantine center near the Rafah border crossing after they have recovered.
