Gunmen attack on ceremony in Afghanistan: 27 dead
At least 27 people were killed and 29 others wounded when gunmen attacked at a remembrance ceremony for a minority Shiite leader in Kabul, Afghanistan's capital, on Friday.
Abdullah Abdullah, the country's chief executive and a top contender in last year's presidential election, escaped the ceremony unhurt after the attack, his aides said.
The Taliban denied the responsibility for the attack.
The attack came after the United States and the Taliban signed a peace deal in Doha, the capital of Qatar on Saturday.
