India’s death toll from coronavirus surpasses 20,000
India has reported 467 new deaths from coronavirus in the last 24 hours, rising the country’s death toll from the virus to 20,160.
The number of confirmed cases has reached 719,665, an increase of 22,252 new cases over the past 24 hours, Indian’s Health Ministry said.
439,948 patients suffering from the disease have been discharged from hospital after being cured.
There are at least 259,557 active cases in the country.
