Iran reports 1,894 daily confirmed cases of COVID-19
After 1,894 more people tested positive for coronavirus in the past 24 hours, the number of infections has risen to 384,666 in the country, the Health Ministry Spokeswoman Sima Lari said in her daily press conference on Saturday.
110 more people have died of coronavirus over the past 24 hours, bringing the number of deaths from the virus to 22,154.
There are at least 3,708 people in intensive care units, Lari said, adding that, of those tested positive for the virus, more than 332,000 patients have recovered and been discharged from hospital.
So far, more than 3,331,073 tests have been taken across the country to detect infected cases, said the Health Ministry spokeswoman.
Lari also urged people to continue the implementation of health guidelines in order to contain the spread of the pandemic.
According to Worldometer, which is a reference website that provides counters and real-time statistics for diverse topics, the global death toll from coronavirus has surpassed 879,371 with 26,817,635 cases and more than 18,924,228 recoveries.
