Italy reopens schools in 13 regions
More than 5,6 million students have resumed classes in the pandemic-stricken country.
Schools will be opened on 24 September in the other regions, according to Education Ministry.
"On Monday we go back to school in much of Italy. I greet all of you, girls and boys, teachers, managers, school staff, parents. It will be a moment of intense emotion. So, at least, it was for me every first day of school,” Prime Ministry Giuseppe Conte said in a message for the start of the school.
“It is an emotion that I too will experience, as the head of a government that in recent months has worked for a safe return to class, but also as the father of a son who is also about to return to school,” Conte added.
More than 7,507,400 pupils will get their education in state institutions.
