HÜDA PAR Chairman Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu, HÜDA PAR’s Diyarbakir provincial head Faruk Dinç, the martyrs’ families and friend as well as many other people attended the program which started with recitation of Holy Quran by Muhammed Emin Yılmaz.

Speaking at the event that was presented by Cengiz Aydın, HÜDA PAR’s Diyarbakir provincial head Faruk Dinç said that PKK members targeted religious Kurds and killed dozens of them in eastern Turkey in the pretext of supporting Kobane.

“The martyrs of October 6-8 massacre were killed with such brutality that has never been found in the Kurdish culture. This resembles the brutalities of the United States against innocent people. Those who committed this barbarism cannot be one of us. We have never witnessed such atrocities,” Dinç added.

Addressing the gathering, HÜDA PAR Chairman Zekeriya Yapıcıoğlu said that the perpetrators of the October 6-8 massacre branded an 'unprecedented' atrocity.

“Thinking that they could stop them and the good movement they launched, the oppressors attacked them and chopped their pure bodies off, threw them from high, crushed them with cars, burned them. They killed with a brutality that is rarely seen in history. They were also Kurds, but they were targeted because of their Muslim identity. Their crime was to say, 'Our Lord is Allah',” Yapıcıoğlu said.

Describing the October 6-8 incidents as an attempt to eliminate Kurdish Islamic identity, Yapıcıoğlu went on to say: “The systematic targeting of a segment of society and the massacre against the civilian people are is literally 'crimes against humanity'. This massacre was prepared in a systematic way. Preparations were made weeks ago. The religious segment of society was shown as a target.”

The event concluded with the prayer that was recited by Ercan Şenol.

Yasin Börü, Hüseyin Dakak, Hasan Gökgöz, Riyad Güneş, Turan Yavaş, and Cumali Güneş, who were distributing meat from sacrificed animals to the poor families, were brutally murdered by the mobs instigated by HDP and its co-chairman during the October 6-8 incidents in Turkey’s southeastern Diyarbakır province.
