Northern Cyprus reports first death from coronavirus

A 67-year-old German tourist, who tested positive for the virus, has died from the pandemic in hospital in Nicosia, announced the Health Ministry of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus on Saturday.

The German man also had chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and high blood pressure, the ministry said.

Until now, 61 cases have been confirmed with coronavirus in the country.
