"Operation Kapan-7 Garisa" launched in southern Turkey

"Operation Kapan-7 Garisa" has been launched against PKK members in Siirt province of southern Turkey, according to a statement released by the Governorate of Siirt.

The statement said the Kapan-7 Garisa was initiated to neutralize PKK members thought to be sheltering in Eruh and Pervari districts of Siirt provinces.

480 personnel, consisting of 46 operational teams, are taking part in the operation, it added.

The operation is an extension to similar ones in the region launched against PKK members.
