Sudanese PM Hamduok receives the US Secretary of State in Khartoum
US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo arrived in Khartoum, on Tuesday, and had talks with Prime Minister Abdullah Hamduok upon his arrival.
“The US official arrived at the appointed time to arrive and went directly from the plane to meet the Prime Minister at the cabinet’s headquarters, in the Administrative Capital, Khartoum,” Sudanese Prime Minister office said.
Sudanese Prime Minister Abdallah Hamduok has told US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo the transitional government has no mandate to normalize ties with Israel, said spokesman Faisal Salih in a statement.
He added that the Hamduok wanted normalization with Israel be separated from the US decision Sudan’s removal from the state sponsor of terrorism list separated.
On Monday, the United States Secretary of State Mike Pompeo began a five-day visit to the Middle East in order to press Arab countries to establish diplomatic ties with Israel.
