The death toll from coronavirus pandemic rises to 221 in Indonesia

12 people who were tested positive for coronavirus have died in the past 24 hours in the country.

​Indonesia reported the biggest daily jump since the first cases were announced a month ago.

247 new cases were confirmed with the virus on Tuesday, bringing the number of confirmed cases to 2,738 in Indonesia, the country’s Health Minister Ahmad Yurianto said.

204 people have been charged from hospital after being cured, he added.

So far, the total number of tests performed has been 14 300.
