The coronavirus pandemic, which was first identified in Wuhan, China and declared a pandemic by World Health Organization on March 11, is continuing to claim the lives of thousands of people around the world.

The United States has the highest number of confirmed coronavirus cases with 735,086 cases, followed by Spain with 194,416 cases, Italy with 175,925 cases, France with 152,978 cases, Germany with 143,724 cases, the United Kingdom with 115,314 cases, China with 83,804 cases, Turkey with 82,329 and Iran with 80,868 cases.

A total of 598,228 patients have so far recovered and have been discharged from hospital.
