The number of the migrants left Turkey for Europe reaches to 138,647
Turkey's Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu gave information about the migrants, who left Turkey for Europe, in a statement on Thursday.
"138,647 migrants have crossed into Greece to date," the minister said.
Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced on Thursday that Turkey would stop keeping hundreds of thousands of migrants in its territory after an air strike on Idlib in northern Syria killed 33 Turkish soldiers and injured many others.
Reported by UNHCR in 2018, Turkey is hosting 63.4% of all the refugees (from Middle East, Africa, and Afghanistan) in the world. As of 2019, Refugees of the Syrian Civil War in Turkey (3.6 million) are highest "registered" refugees.
