Trump suspends immigration into the U.S. for 60 days amid coronavirus pandemic
“In order to protect American workers, I will be issuing a temporary suspension of immigration, “said the United States President Donald Trump during a White House briefing on Tuesday.
“In light of the attack from the Invisible Enemy, as well as the need to protect the jobs of our GREAT American Citizens, I will be signing an Executive Order to temporarily suspend immigration into the United States!,” Trump tweeted late Monday .
The US has the largest number of confirmed coronavirus cases, with more than 45,343 deaths and 819,175 infections, according to John Hopkins University.
