In a statement published on his Twitter account, Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca shared Thursday the latest official coronavirus figures in the country.

According to the statement, the number of confirmed cases rose to 193,115, after 1,458 more people tested positive for the virus over the past 24 hours.

165,706 patients suffering from the disease have fully recovered from the infection and been discharged from hospital.

While 941 patients are being treated in intensive care units, there are some 369 patients who are mechanically ventilated. 

A total of 3,135,424 tests for coronavirus have so far been conducted in the country.
