Turkey’s chicken meat production was 172,439 tons in October
Chicken meat production was 172,439 tons, hen egg production was 1.7 billion units in Turkey, the country’s statistical institute said in a statement on Thursday.
Hen egg production decreased by 2%, number of the slaughtered chicken decreased by 7.6%, chicken meat production decreased by 8.5%, and turkey meat production decreased by 29.7% in October compared with the same month of the previous year, according to the statement.
Turkey meat production increased by 1.2%, chicken meat production decreased by 0.1%, number of the slaughtered chicken decreased by 0.3%, and hen egg production decreased by 0.7% in January-October period compared with the same period of the previous year.
Chicken meat production decreased by 0.9% in October compared with the previous month, and realized as 172 thousand 439 tons.
Number of the slaughtered chicken decreased by 0.2% in October compared with the previous month, and realized as 95 million 754 thousand units.
Hen egg production increased by 5.7% in October compared with the previous month, and realized as 1.7 billion units.
Turkey meat production decreased by 8.7% in October compared with the previous month, and realized as 4 thousand 168 tons.
