Turkey’s Presidential Cabinet to convene under President Erdoğan’s chairmanship
Turkey’s Presidential Cabinet will convene at 15:00 on Monday under President Erdoğan's chairmanship at the Presidential Complex.
According to the presidency’s Directorate of Communications, at the meeting, the ongoing search and rescue works as well as the assessment of the economic costs of damage after the flood disaster in Giresun province will be on the agenda.
Another important topic of the meeting will be the discussions over the restoration of death penalty which was brought to the agenda by the chairman of the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) Devlet Bahçeli. At the meeting, cabinet members will share their views on the restoration of death penalty.
Measures to be taken against coronavirus in schools will be on the table.
At the same time, the ongoing operations in northern Iraq, recent developments in Libya, Syria and the eastern Mediterranean Sea will also be on the agenda.
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will make a statement after the meeting.
