United Kingdom reports 55 new deaths from coronavirus
55 people have died from coronavirus in the past 24 hours, rising the United Kingdom death toll from the virus to 40,597, the country’s Department of Health and Social Care announced on Monday.
“As of 9am 8 June, there have been 5,731,576 tests, with 138,183 tests on 7 June. 287,399 people have tested positive. As of 5pm on 7 June, of those tested positive for coronavirus, across all settings, 40,597 have sadly died,” the Department tweeted.
Global death toll from coronavirus has reached 407,068, with at least 7,135,285 confirmed cases and 3,481,822 recoveries, according to Worldometer, a reference website that provides counters and real-time statistics for diverse topics.
