The number of confirmed cases has risen to 469, an increase of 10 cases in the last 24 hours, according to the national committee tasked with confronting pandemic.

23 patients suffering from coronavirus have been discharged from hospital after being cured.

Meanwhile, UN sent a shipment of medical aid to the war-torn country, where almost 20 million people lack access to adequate healthcare and almost 18 million do not have enough clean water or access to adequate sanitation.

“As #COVID19 further spreads in Yemen more people are at risk, especially healthcare workers on the front lines. WHO received a shipment of 66 kits of personal protective equipment- enough to cover the protection needs of 1,752 health care workers, as well as 25 ventilators,” the World Health Organization country office in Yemen announced on its Twitter account.

The UN warned that 20 million people are in danger of starvation because of the siege and attacks on Yemen.
