Zionist settlers vandalize Palestinian property, uproot olive tree
A group of zionist settlers vandalized at dawn Wednesday Palestinian-owned property in Marda town, north of Salfit, to the north of occupied West Bank.
According to local sources, the settlers sneaked into the village and slashed tires of Palestinian-owned vehicles.
They also spray-painted racist slogans and death threats on walls and cars.
In this regard, Governor of Salfit Major General Abdullah Kamil warned about the serious escalation of settlers' attacks in the district.
He further stressed the importance of Palestinian popular committees to address such attacks.
In a related development, zionist settlers chopped dozens of olive trees and spoiled others in Awarta town, east of the city of Nablus.
Ghassan Daghlas, who monitors settler activities in the northern West Bank, confirmed on Wednesday that settlers uprooted dozens of trees and sprayed chemical material on others, virtually destroying them.
Earlier Tuesday, settlers uprooted 900 olive trees in the village of Sebastia, north of Nablus, as well as uprooting 70 trees in Masafer Yatta, south of the southern West Bank city of al-Khalil.
The settlers’ violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by israeli authorities.
Since the current olive harvest season began, settlers have destroyed and burned dozens of olive trees across the West Bank.
